Cloud Computing gets new maiden winner and first stakes horse
October 2, 2022
Cloud Computing got a new maiden winner, his ninth from his first crop, as well as his first stakes horse on Sunday, Oct. 2.
Easy Big Boy was a gallant maiden winner at Churchill Downs going 6 ½ furlongs. The 2-year-old colt, trained by Steve Asmussen for Mike McCarthy, won by three-quarters of a length on a fast race track (WATCH RACE). The winner was bred by St. Simon Place LLC and Scott Stephens and sold for $250,000 to McCarthy at the 2022 OBS March 2yo sale.
I’m Very Busy, who was an impressive maiden winner on the Saratoga turf on Aug. 13, was a very game second in Sunday’s $200,000 Pilgrim S. (G2) on the Aqueduct turf course. His defeat came at the hands of Major Dude, a son of Spendthrift First-Crop sire Bolt d’Oro.
Both colts could be headed for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) next month at Keeneland.
I’m Very Busy, bred by Glenn E. Brok LLC, is out of Two Kisses, who is a half-sister to Breeders’ Cup Juvenile S. (G1) winner Answer Lively.
