Cloud Computing 2yo surges late for maiden win
August 28, 2022
Dreadpirateroberts drew off in the final furlong to break his maiden by 3 ¾-lengths on Saturday evening at Prairie Meadows.
The 2-year-old dark bay is the fourth winner for First-Crop sire Cloud Computing. Dreadpirateroberts was away third in the 5 ½-furlong contest, then made up some ground on the turn. He battled with Sully’s Barron through the stretch, pulling clear in the final sixteenth to win going away.
The winner is owned by his breeder Heather Austin. His stakes-placed dam Ms Bessie is a sister to a pair of stakes winners.
Cloud Computing, who stood this year for $5,000 live foal, will have his next auction offerings come during the Sept. 12-24 Keeneland September Yearling sale, where he has 18 lots catalogued.
