Another open-length MdSpWt winner for Cinco Charlie

Cinco Charlie’s tenth winner Lichita strolled to a seven-length victory in a six-furlong maiden special weight race for 2-year-old fillies Friday at Belterra.

With his tenth winner, Cinco Charlie moves to third on the First-Crop sire list, while his percentage of winners from starters is the highest of the top 10 Freshman sires.

Lichita shook free from an early duel with Wine Me Up Baby to pull clear at the top of the stretch and win in convincing fashion.

The winner is owned by CG Racing and Omar Morales and was bred in Kentucky by Lynden Branch and Dr. James Morehead.
