Cinco Charlie filly scores sharp 4 1/2-length win
October 1, 2020
Just three days after he got his first stakes winner, Cinco Charlie tallied his ninth winner from his first crop of runners on Sept. 30 when Jlo Can Dance rolled to a 4 ½-length maiden special weight win at Thistledown.
Cinco Charlie is in the top five on the First-Crop sire list by black type horses, winners and wins and is the only freshman sire on that list that stands for less than $10,000.
Jlo Can Dance tracked in second most of the six-furlong trip before taking over with a rush in the stretch and drawing off sharply for the victory.
The winner is owned by Strike Plate LLC and was bred by Victor Zambrano. The dark bay filly is the first foal out of 13-time winner Shoes for Jlo.
