Chanel’s Legacy leads Spendthrift stallion sweep of Panthers S.
June 9, 2017
The $65,000 Panthers S. Thursday night at Prairie Meadows was won by Chanel’s Legacy, a daughter of Dominus who now has won four stakes (VIDEO).
But the bigger story may have been that offspring of Spendthrift stallions took the top five spots in the one mile race for 3-year-old fillies.
After Chanel’s Legacy, it was Natalie’s Mischief (Into Mischief) a neck back in second, with Conquest Bandido (Into Mischief) in third, Friend of Liberty (Dominus) finishing fourth, and Conquest Classic (Warrior’s Reward) rounding out the top five.
Chanel’s Legacy, who took a pair of stakes this year at Oaklawn Park, is now 5-2-1 in 11 starts and has earned $397,711 for breeder/owner Allen Poindexter. She is Dominus’ leading earner and played a major part in him ranking in the top 15 in both the First and Second-Crop Sire lists from his first two crops to race.
