Cajun Mitole wins $100,000 Prince S. in first added-money start

February 2, 2025

Cajun Mitole rallied from last to win the $100,000 Prince S. Feb. 1 at Delta Downs, earning the 3-year-old Mitole filly her first stakes victory [WATCH RACE].

Stepping up in class off a January 11 allowance score, Cajun Mitole settled in the back of the eight-horse field from her outside post. Biding her time behind a swift early pace, she began to cut into her deficit with about three furlongs to run. She came three-wide around the final bend and had plenty left down the lane, winning by 1 ¾-lengths over Hay Jude.

Cajun Mitole is 3-1-1 in five starts for her owners Coulee Croche Thoroughbreds (also her breeder) and Clear Creek Stud LLC. Her bankroll now stands at $125,730.

Out of Cajun Flower, this is the immediate family of champion and Hall of Famer Holy Bull.

Mitole, a champion on the track and at stud, is currently fourth on this year’s Third-Crop sire list. His 2025 fee is $10,000 S&N.
