Bolt d’Oro colt graduates by double-digits in debut
July 1, 2022
It’s Bobs Business was much the best in his Jan. 30 debut at Canterbury Park, coming home an 11 ¾-length winner in a 4 ½-furlong maiden special weight contest for 2-year-olds.
The bay colt is the eighth winner for Bolt d’Oro, topping all First-Crop Sires. The Spendthrift stallion will have several chances to add to that tally over the Independence Day weekend, with a half-dozen maiden entries, as well as winner Owen’s Leap going postward in Monday’s Bashford Manor S. at Churchill Downs.
It’s Bobs Business had his mind on running right from the start on Thursday. He opened up a three-length lead in the first quarter-mile and never looked back, gliding home the easiest of winners in :51.67 on the fast main track.
It’s Bobs Business is owned and bred by Lothernbach Stables Inc.
