Big showing for Vino Rosso filly at Midlantic 2yo sale

Vino Rosso, one of three Spendthrift sires currently in the top five on the 2023 First-Crop list, had a banner day Monday at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale, with a $350,000 filly topping his results.
A chestnut consigned by Sequel Bloodstock, agent, hip No. 268 went to leading owner Mike Repole, with Jacob West signing the ticket on his behalf.
The filly was bred by Sequel and Lakland Farm.
The second foal out of the stakes-place Malibu Moon mare Lunar Gaze, the filly hails from the family of multiple Grade 1 winner Elloluv.
Vino Rosso’s progeny have hit the track running, with Laugh Now a commanding maiden special weight winner and Zaino already stakes-placed. Zaino will make his second career start on May 26 at Gulfstream Park.
