$950K filly tops Saratoga F-T sale for Into Mischief
August 6, 2018
Into Mischief had some stellar results during Monday’s opening session of the Aug. 6-7 Saratoga Select Yearlings sale, none better than hip No. 82, a filly that sold for $950,000 to Oxo Equine.
The Denali Stud consignee wound up the top-priced filly of the evening, and third-highest overall. Into Mischief had a total of six lots sell on Monday for an average of $501,667, with all six bringing at least $210,000.
Into Mischief’s session-best filly is out of the Warrior’s Reward mare Reve d’Amour. The all-star female family includes her second dam Smolensk, a multiple group winner in Europe and the dam of Spendthrift stallion Can the Man and the stakes winner Martha’s Moon, by Malibu Moon. Her third dam is Kentucky Oaks (G1) champ Blush with Pride, dam of Grade 2 winner Better Than Honour, who in turn produced Belmont S. (G1) winners Rags to Riches and Jazil.
Later in the session hip No. 108, consigned by Summerfield, agent for Stonestreet, sold for $750,000 to Spendthrift Farm. The bay colt is a half-brother to this year’s Debutante S. winner Restless Rider out of Silky Serenade, who is a half-sister to multiple Grade 2 winner Private Vow.
Into Mischief has additional seven lots cataloged for Tuesday’s session, which begins at 6:30 p.m. ET.
