$800,000 Into Mischief filly tops Fasig-Tipton July Yearling sale
July 14, 2021
Into Mischief had three of the top four lots at Tuesday’s Fasig-Tipton July Yearling sale, led by the $800,000 sales-topper.
Hip No. 123, a filly consigned by Burleson Farms, agent, went to Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and LNJ Foxwoods. The Kentucky-bred filly is out of the Indian Charlie mare Cashing Tickets, who is a full sister to multiple graded stakes winner and sire Conveyance. Cashing Tickets is the dam of multiple stakes winner Leggs Galore.
“She is an absolute queen,” said Eclipse’s Aron Wellman. “She really stood head and shoulders above everything else here, with all respects to the other entrants, of course. (LNJ) has had extreme success with Covfefe by Into Mischief.”
The second-highest price on the day was Into Mischief’s hip No. 339, a Spendthrift Farm-bred filly consigned by Four Star Sales, agent. She went to Mike Rutherford for $350,000. The dark bay is out of the stakes-place Henny Hughes mare Anahauc.
Close behind was hip No. 320, consigned by Taylor Made Sales and purchased by Bullet Bloodstock for $345,000. A bay filly, she is out of Vaudevillian, who is a half-sister to the multiple Grade 1 winner Life At Ten.
