$400K Into Mischief to Spendthrift at OBS opener
June 10, 2020
Into Mischief had the top filly during the first day of the June 9-12 OBS Sale of 2-year-olds in Training, with Spendthrift Farm the winning bidder at $400,000.
Consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds, hip No. 129 was bred in Kentucky by Grousemont Farm, Summerhill Farm & Ellen Chapman and had worked a quarter-mile in 21 seconds flat last week at the Under Tack Show. The bay filly is out of the stakes-winning dam Midnight Visit.
“She struck us as very typical of the Into Mischiefs,” said Spendthrift General Manager Ned Toffey, who is at the sale. “She had a really good mind on her; nothing seemed to phase her at all, handled everything really well. She breezed really well and well within herself. She was very clean and sound-legged–just a strong, stout, athletic individual. She’s a very nice filly.”
