Classic winner and First-Crop sire Cloud Computing got the second day of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-old sale off to a hot start when hip No. 330 brought a top bid of $400,000.
The figure represents the top price paid this year for a filly by Cloud Computing, and will boost his top-10 freshman 2-year-old sales average that stood at $131,962 coming into the day.
Consigned by Top Line Sales, LLC, agent, the bay filly went to Cherie Devaux, agent. The filly hails from a stellar female line. Her dam Elbe has already produced a stakes winner in Éclair and the graded stakes-placed Limari. Her second dam Imroz was stakes-placed in both Europe and the U.S., and third dam All at Sea was a Group 1 winner at Longchamp.
Preakness S. (G1) winner Cloud Computing, who also placed in the Wood Memorial S. (G2) and Gotham S. (G3) during his 3-year-old campaign of 2017, entered stud at Spendthrift in 2019. Standing for $5,000, Cloud Computing has covered an average of 120 mares in his first three seasons.
