$280,000 colt stars in Maximus Mischief’s tremendous Midlantic sale

Freshman sire Maximus Mischief, a former Fasig-Tipton Midlantic grad, was represented at that sale by his first crop of 2-year-olds on May 22-23, with a pair of headliners selling for $280,000 & $250,000.

Hip 125 started off day one with a bang, with Spendthrift Farm bringing back home a fancy first-crop colt for $250,000 from the consignment of Cary Frommer. Out of the Scat Daddy mare Daddy’s Diva, the colt was bred in Kentucky by Respect the Valleys.

Day two produced the biggest fireworks for the freshman sire, as another colt – selling as Hip 594 – sold for $280,000 to Frank Alosa, agent. Consigned by Randy Miles, the popular colt hails from the Majesticperfection mare Perfect Bourbon and was bred in Kentucky by Sean Curtin.
