$250,000 colt tops stellar Fasig-Tipton sale for Jackie’s Warrior

Champion Jackie’s Warrior’s first foals offered at auction drew high praise and robust bidding Monday evening at the Fasig-Tipton November sale, with all nine lots offered selling for an average of $173,333, the highest average price for any First-Crop sire with multiple lots sold.
Five of the nine weanlings brought at least $200,000, topped by a $250,000 colt purchased by Glen Hill Farm from the Hunter Valley Farm, agent, consignment.
The chestnut colt, hip No. 64, is out of Applauding, whose foals include the stakes winner Laughing Boy. Applauding’s half-sister is the granddam of multiple Grade 1 winner Shedaresthedevil. This is also the family of graded winner Crafty C. T.
Hip No. 125, a filly consigned by Scott Mallory, agent, went to the team of Love/Linton, agent for $215,000. Out of the Street Sense mare Ice Women, the chestnut filly is a half-sister to stakes winners Corningstone and Ice Cold.
Jackie’s Warrior was the Eclipse Champion Sprinter of 2021 before joining the Spendthrift stallion roster. A Grade 1 winner at 2, 3 and 4, Jackie’s Warrior amassed nearly $3 million in his racing career. His 2025 fee was recently announced at $35,000 live foal.
