$230,000 filly leads the way for Mitole Monday at F-T Midlantic sale

Mitole, currently the leading First-Crop sire of 2023, started the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale of 2-year-olds in training with a $230,000 filly during Monday’s opener of the two-day auction.
The bay filly, hip No. 44 consigned by Pick View LLC, agent, went to JR Ranch.
The Kentucky-bred is the first foal out of the Speightstown mare Bay Harbor, whose dam Our Khrysty was a Grade 3 winner and is also the dam of Del Mar Debutante S. (G1) winner Grace Adler. This is also the family of Whitney H. (G1) winner Bullsbay.
Mitole’s 2-year-olds are averaging $148,800 at auction this year, nearly 10 times his stud fee.
The sire of recent winner and TDN Rising Star V V’s Dream, Mitole has 13 lots remaining for Tuesday’s session.
