2022: Another record-setting year for champion sire Into Mischief

Into Mischief was North America’s leading sire for the fourth consecutive year in 2022, breaking his own progeny earnings mark with an astounding $28,523,242.
That number put him more than $7.5 million clear of his closest pursuer and marked the third straight year the Spendthrift stallion set a progeny earnings record.
Now 18, Into Mischief led the 2022 General Sire List in nearly every statistical category. His 236 individual winners accounted for 371 victories, including 17 graded stakes wins and a total of 27 stakes wins overall.
Among his top performers were Wonder Wheel, winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) and Alcibiades S. (G1). The 2-year-old filly is a leading Eclipse contender in her division. Woodward S. (G1) and Whitney S. (G1) winner Life Is Good is also an Eclipse finalist, in the Older Dirt Male category. Gina Romantica, winner of the QEII Challenge Cup (G1), rounded out Into Mischief’s Grade 1 winners, while Hoosier Philly, Laurel River, Gerrymander and Private Mission were all Grade 2 winners for their sire.
In addition to his stellar racetrack results, Into Mischief also was 2022’s leading covering sire and leading sire of 2-year-olds in the sales ring.
After covering more than 200 mares for the 10th straight year in 2022, Into Mischief stands for $250,000 in 2023.
