$180,000 colt starts strong Wednesday at KeeNov for Bolt d’Oro

Bolt d’Oro’s first crop of weanlings had their best day thus far during Wednesday’s session of the 2020 Keeneland November sale, with four juveniles bringing six-figure bids.
Early in the session hip No. 663, consigned by Denali Stud, agent, went to noted buyer Steve Young, agent for $180,000.
The dark bay colt, already named Tumultuous, is the first foal out of the Mineshaft mare Ib Prospecting. She is a half-sister to five-time stakes winner Frolic’s Revenge. The colt’s second and third dams are both multiple stakes winners as well, with third dam Lindsay Frolic winning the Sabin H. (G3). Lindsay Frolic is the dam of millionaire Grade 2 winner Super Frolic.
Multiple Grade 1 winner Bolt d’Oro had an outstanding in foal rate of 94% in 2019 and bred 146 mares in 2020. He will stand the 2021 season for $15,000 S&N.
