$155K colt for Flat Out at Barretts
March 30, 2017
Flat Out’s lone offering during Wednesday’s Barretts March Select 2-year-olds in Training Sale brought a winning bid of $155,000 from top buyer Dennis O’Neill.
The chestnut colt is from the first crop of the Spendthrift stallion, whose juveniles have sold for an average of $143,800, led by a $400,000 colt at the Fasig-Tipton February sale.
Wavertree Stables consigned hip No. 116, who is out of the With Approval mare Kim D. The mare is a half-sister to graded stakes winner Lisa M, while their dam Lords Guest is a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner John’s Call.
