Wednesday’s session of the OBS Spring 2-year-olds in Training Sale featured several seven-figure sellers, including a $1.4 million Into Mischief colt that ended as the second-highest price of the day.

Kings Equine, Agent I consigned the colt for breeders Scott and Evan Dilworth & Randy Andrews. Catalogued as hip No. 416, the Kentucky-bred went to Mahmud Mouni on behalf of Tagermeen Racing partnership.

“I was specifically focused on buying this one,” Mouni said after signing the ticket. “We are happy to get him.”

The colt, who worked a furlong last week in :9 4/5, is out of Silk Route and is a full brother to unbeaten multiple stakes winner Taraz.

“We had a great plan that worked out perfectly,” Scott Dilworth said. “We ran second to Taraz in the Martha Washington down at Oaklawn. My partner Randy fell in love with Taraz and then when we found out that the mamma was for sale at Keeneland, we bought her, saying we are going to breed to Into Mischief and we are going to get one just like her. And it worked out perfectly.”

Six-time champion sire Into Mischief already has two dozen stakes horses and an astounding 17 graded stakes horses in 2025. He has a trio of 3-year-olds scheduled to make their next start in the May 3rd Kentucky Derby (G1): Tappan Street, Sovereignty and Citizen Bull.
