Undefeated Cool Cowboy wires field in Lafayette S.

Thousand Words’ Cool Cowboy won his stakes debut in the Lafayette S. April 5 at Evangeline Downs for his second win in as many starts [WATCH RACE].

Three-year-old Cool Cowboy was a front-running maiden winner March 7 at Sam Houston Park, and employed the same style in the Lafayette. The dark bay was pressed by Spamalot through a half-mile, then shook clear at the top of the lane to win by an impressive 4 ¼-lengths in 1:10.84 for the six furlongs over a wet-fast track.

Cool Cowboy races in the colors of Norman Stables LLC and was bred in Kentucky by Robin Lane Thoroughbreds LLC.

Thousand Words is second to only Vekoma by both stakes winners and graded stakes winners on this year’s Second-Crop Sire list.
