Into Mischief filly begins 2025 with five-length stakes win
January 18, 2025
Innocence kicked off the new year in style with a dominating score in the Borderplex S. at Sunland Park, the first added-money win for the 3-year-old Into Mischief filly [WATCH RACE].
Innocence was just behind Hurricane Saylor through the first stages of Friday’s 6 1/2-furlong race, then took over with an authoritative move just before turning for home. She quickly distanced herself from the field and won with ease in 1:17.94 on fast track.
A homebred for Hill ‘N’ Dale Equine Holdings and Stretch Run Ventures, Innocence is trained by Steve Asmussen. She is a winner of two of four starts and has earned $63,917 in her young career.
Innocence is out of Treasuring, herself a stakes winner and full sister to Grade 1 winner Streaming. Third dam Better Than Honour is the dam of Belmont S. (G1) winners Rags to Riches and Jazil.
