Indigo Stunner made her second lifetime start a winning one with a comfortable 1 ½-length maiden special weight victory at a mile over the Horseshoe Indianapolis turf course.

The 2-year-old daughter of Authentic, the 10th winner for her top-10 First-Crop sire, entered Thursday’s race off a good third-place effort over the Kentucky Downs turf on Aug. 31.

Indigo Stunner had the lead first time past the finish line, then backed off into third entering the first bend. She sat comfortably behind the pacesetters down the backstretch and around the final turn. Swinging three-wide into the stretch, she went to the lead with authority to win going away in 1:38.10 on the good turf course.

The winner is owned by Harrell Ventures, LLC and Starlight Racing, who purchased the bay filly for $300,000 at the 2023 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearlings sale. She was bred in Kentucky by Wynnstay Inc. and H. Allen Poindexter. Indigo Stunner is a half-sister to graded stakes winners Can Group and Flat Out Speed.
