The yearlings by First-Crop sire Yaupon continued to be the most sought-after of any freshman sire during the Tuesday session of the Keeneland September sale, topped by a $525,000 filly that sold towards the end of the day’s proceedings.

Yaupon has had 14 yearlings sell for over $200,000 this year, the most of any First-Crop sire in 2024.

Yaupon’s best on Tuesday, hip No. 358 consigned by Wynnstay Sales, agent, was purchased by November Hill. The bay filly, already named Yo Fancy, is out of the Malibu Moon mare Clarendon Fancy, who is also the dam of Spinaway S. (G1) winner Brightwork and the stakes-placed filly Quiet Company.

Earlier in the session Yaupon’s hip No. 219, from the Four Star Sales, agent consignment, went to G. Watts Humphrey, Jr. for $300,000. The dark bay filly is out of Skipped, who is a full sister to multiple graded winner Divine Oath.
