Into Mischief colt taken for $1.25 million during Keeneland September opening session

The 2024 Keeneland September Yearling sale started off on a high note for Into Mischief when hip No. 167 sold for $1.25 million during Monday’s opening session of the Sept. 9-21 marathon auction.
The bay colt was consigned by Lane’s End, agent and purchased by Mitsu Nakauchida, agent.
The royally-bred yearling is the first foal out of Point of Honor, a Grade 2 winner who also placed in four Grade 1 events. Point of Honor is a half-sister to Frizette S. (G1) winner Wicked Whisper and stakes winner Velvet Mood.
Into Mischief, who currently sits atop the 2024 General Sire list with progeny earnings of over $25.8 million, is also among the leading sires of yearlings by average price, at $641,153.
