Maximus Mischief filly streaks to big victory at Gulfstream Park
July 7, 2023
Let Them Watch gave top-five First-Crop sire Maximus Mischief his fourth winner July 7 at Gulfstream Park when she rolled to a 6 ¼-length score in a 5 ½-furlong maiden special weight race on the main track.
The 2-year-old filly made the most of her debut, looking like a winner from the outset as she went along easily in fractions of :21.90 and :45.73. She shook clear at the top of the lane and ran up the tally under a hand ride, finishing the distance on a fast track in 1:04.41.
Let Them Watch is owned by Case Chambers, who purchased her out of this year’s OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training. The bay filly was bred by Tracy Pinchin and is a half-sister to stakes winner It’s High Time. Her dam My Rolex is a half-sister to Vosburgh S. (G1) winner Black Seventeen.
Maximus Mischief is the first freshman sire of 2023 to record four individual winners and is third in progeny earnings behind fellow Spendthrift first-year sires Mitole and Vino Rosso.
