June 3, 2023
Leading First-Crop sire Omaha Beach chalked up his third juvenile winner on June 3 when Omaha Girl scored by a half-length in a 4 ½-furlong maiden special weight contest at Monmouth Park.
The winner, who was making her debut for AMO Racing USA was a close second behind Bingo’s Girl until turning for home, when the chestnut filly wrested the lead from the pacesetter and went on to victory.
The final time on the fast track was :53.31.
Omaha Girl was bred in Kentucky by Rosily Polan and sold to her owner for $400,000 at the 2022 Keeneland September Yearling sale. Out of the stakes-placed mare Anchorage, Omaha Girl is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Abaan. This is also the family of multiple graded winner and sire Broken Vow.
In addition to his three winners to date, Omaha Beach has also accounted for the Irish Group 3-placed filly Launch.
