Pair of Mitole 2yos top $300,000 Wednesday at OBS

Wednesday’s session of the OBS Spring 2-year-olds in Training sale produced no less than four six-figure juveniles for First-Crop sire Mitole.
Leading the way was hip No. 299, a filly consigned by Julie Davis, agent and purchased by Gentry for $400,000.
The filly, who had worked a bullet :09 4/5 seconds at the Under Tack show, was bred by Knockgriffin Farm.
The filly’s dam Gemini R N is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Shaniko and stakes winner Silky Smooth.
Earlier in the session, hip No. 366, consigned by Oak Creek Thoroughbreds, agent, went to N. Tremblay/Hollamon/ Howg et al for $300,000. The dark bay colt is the first foal out of the stakes winner Filibustin.
Champion Sprinter Mitole’s 2-year-old auction price average is currently $176,796, second-best behind only Omaha Beach among all First-Crop sires.
