Neural Network first stakes winner for Cloud Computing
February 26, 2023
Neural Network won Saturday’s $100,000 Gander S. at Aqueduct to become Cloud Computing’s first stakes winner.
The Second-Crop sire is also responsible for Grade 2-placed I’m Very Busy and the stakes-placed duo of Two Eagles River and Crypto Mama. Cloud Computing had his biggest book to date – 166 mares – in 2022. He stands this year for $5,000 live foal.
Neural Network got a stalking trip behind D’ont Lose Cruz and Maker’s Candy for the first six furlongs. He swung three-wide into the stretch and was closing rapidly on Maker’s Candy when the pacesetter began to drift very wide in the final furlong, causing Neural Network to lose momentum. A stewards’ inquiry awarded the win to Neural Network.
Owned by the Klaravich Stables Inc., Neural Network has won two of his three starts and earned $102,500. The dark bay 3-year-old sold for $120,000 at the 2021 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings sale.
Neural Network was bred by Milfer Farm Inc. His third dam is Grade 1 winner Cara Rafaela, who is the dam of Bernardini.
