Sunny San Leon gives Cloud Computing his 10th winner
November 3, 2022
Sunny San Leon came from well off the pace to score a 1 ½-length maiden special weight win Nov. 2 at Remington Park, giving First-Crop sire Cloud Computing his 10th individual winner.
The 2-year-old filly was near the back of the pack more than halfway through the “about” seven-furlong race before making her move along the inside of the final turn. She found herself blocked behind horses, forcing her four-wide into the stretch. Full of run in the lane, she flew past the field to win going away.
Sunny San Leon is owned by the Thompson Racing LLC and was bred by Rick Sutherland.
Cloud Computing, winner of the 2017 Preakness S. (G1), has bred an average of 133 mares in his first four seasons, and had his biggest to date, with 166, this year. He will stand the 2023 season for $5,000 live foal.
