Jimmy Creed well-represented in this year’s Breeders’ Cup
November 1, 2022
Casa Creed and Private Creed will carry their sire’s namesake and solid credentials into this year’s Breeders’ Cup this weekend at Keeneland.
Casa Creed, a two-time Grade 1 winner this year, drew post 11 in the overflow field of 16 for Saturday’s $1 million Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1). Casa Creed registered wins in the six-furlong Jaipur S. (G1) one-mile Fourstardave H. (G1), with his connections opting for Saturday’s 5 ½-furlong Sprint for the 6-year-old.
The Turf Sprint is race four at 12:29 p.m. ET.
On Friday, Private Creed will contest the $1 million Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1), drawing post three in the 12-horse field. Private Creed is a proven commodity over the Keeneland turf and at the 5 ½-furlongs, winning the Indian Summer S. on Oct. 9. The bay colt also won the $500,000 Juvenile Turf Sprint at Kentucky Downs in September for trainer Steven Asmussen and owner Mike McCarty.
Friday’s post time for the sixth race is 3:00 p.m.
