Frank’s Rockette much the best in $250,000 Pink Ribbon S.
August 27, 2022
Into Mischief’s multiple graded stakes winner Frank’s Rockette garnered her seventh career stakes win on Friday at Charles Town Races with a six-length victory in the $250,000 Misty Bennett Pink Ribbon S.
The 5-year-old mare is the third stakes winner of the past two days for Into Mischief, following Gina Romantica in Thursday’s Riskaverse S. at Saratoga, and Make Mischief’s victory on Friday in the Yaddo H., also at the historic upstate New York oval.
Frank’s Rockette, who was coming off a heartbreaking loss in the July 27 Honorable Miss S. (G2), broke a hard-luck losing streak that dated back some 13 months. She dueled with Fille d’Esprit for the better part of five furlongs, then asserted herself in the stretch to win going away in 1:23.60 for the seven furlongs, less than a second off the track record.
With the win, Frank’s Rockette is now 9-9-3 in 23 starts, including 19 stakes, and has earned $1,147,308 for her owner/breeder Frank Fletcher. Her dam Rocket Twentyone was herself a Grade 3 winner of the Arlington-Washington Lassie S.
