Call On Mischief earns first black type

For the second time in three days Into Mischief was represented by a new stakes winner. The latest came Nov. 22 at Mahoning Valley when Call On Mischief won the $75,000 Distaff by a half-length.
Into Mischief now has 28 stakes winners this year, one shy of his record-setting number in 2020. He leads the 2021 General Sire list by a wide margin with more than $23 million in progeny earnings.
Call On Mischief, 4, was in a three-way duel at the top for the entire six-furlong trip. Ever Wonder had the early advantage, getting the half-mile in :46.25. Call on Mischief poked her head in front with a furlong to run, then edged clear late for the victory.
The winner, who is now 4-7-2 in 21 starts, is owned by Down Neck Stables and has earned $263,237. Call On Mischief was bred in Kentucky by Forging Oaks Farm, LLC. Her dam is three-time stakes winner Callmethesqueeze.
