Keeneland Nov. Day 3: Vino Rosso filly hits $300,000 mark
November 12, 2021
For the second time in three days, a weanling from the first crop of champion Vino Rosso sold for at least $300,000 at the ongoing Keeneland November Sale on Thursday when hip No. 645 hit that mark.
The filly was consigned by Gainesway, agent, and went to Scoot Stable.
The bay Kentucky-bred is out of the Grade 2-placed Uncle Mo mare Shaken, who has one other foal which has yet to race.
Through the first three days of the sale Vino Rosso’s weanlings are averaging a robust $179,000, nearly nine times his stud fee. The Spendthrift stallion has 25 lots remaining in the catalog for the sale that runs through Nov. 19.
