Spendthrift marketing team wins Emmy Award
August 16, 2021
Spendthrift Farm was recognized in the 57th Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards on August 15th, winning in the category of Commercial.
During a virtual ceremony, Spendthrift received the honor for the video “Homecoming” produced in 2020. A sequel to the farm’s 2019 Emmy-nominated video “Work Like Hell”, the series featured Spendthrift’s new stallions for 2020 – Omaha Beach, Vino Rosso, Mitole, Maximus Mischief & Coal Front – along with its storied history and commitment to “live up to the glory” of the farm’s past successes.
“We are incredibly honored to win an Emmy,” said Joel Cunningham, Spendthrift’s Marketing and Communications Director. “Our video partners, Nadus Films, deserve a lot of credit for this project and everything they do for our brand. Spendthrift is a special place with a ton of history and natural beauty of the horses and land here. It is a privilege to be able to share its stories. What makes me most proud about this particular story is that it largely represents Mr. Hughes’ revitalization of Spendthrift.”
