Flash of Mischief the third new SW of the weekend for Into Mischief
May 16, 2021
Flash of Mischief’s victory in Saturday night’s Golden Circle S. at Prairie Meadows gave Into Mischief his third new stakes winner on the day, upping his 2021 total to 21, ten more than any other sire standing in North America this year. His progeny earnings of nearly $10 million to date this year are on par with his record-setting total of 2020.
Flash of Mischief got a rail-skimming trip in the six-furlong Golden Circle, sitting behind early leader Chicks Dig Scars for the first half-mile. He slipped through an opening coming into the stretch, and battled with the pacesetter until the final sixteenth, when he cleared off to win by a length in 1:08.79 on a muddy track (VIDEO).
The win was the third in a row for Flash of Mischief and upped his earnings to $116,202 for his owner/breeder Jerry Namy. Flash of Mischief’s dam Flashy Campaign was twice stakes-placed and hails from the family of graded stakes winners Roar, Yell and Blare of Trumpets.
