$500K Jimmy Creed filly closes out first day at F-T Yearling sale
September 10, 2020
Jimmy Creed’s hip No. 330 was the last horse led into the ring Wednesday at the Fasig-Tipton Selected Yearlings Showcase and came out as one of the top five fillies of the session when OXO Equine went to $500,000 to purchase the dark bay Kentucky-bred.
Warrendale Sales, agent, was the consignor for Sandra Sexton and Silver Fern Farm.
The filly’s female family certainly bolstered her reputation. Her dam Rose and Shine is a multiple stakes winner and has already produced the 2-year-old champion filly British Idiom and stakes winner Parade of Roses from her three winners to date. This is also the same family of recent Pat Day Mile (G2) winner Rushie.
Jimmy Creed, the leading cumulative Fourth-Crop sire of stakes winners, has six stakes horses in 2020, including Saratoga black type winner Classic Lady and the Grade 1-placed duo of Kanthaka and Casa Creed.
