Temple City colt tabbed for $280,000 on final day of OBS sale

A Temple City colt from the family of Ghostzapper brought a top bid of $280,000 during the closing session of the June 9-12 OBS 2-year-olds in Training sale.

The bay juvenile, cataloged as hip No. 1112 and consigned by Off the Hook LLC, agent, went to prominent buyer Donato Lanni, agent.

Bred in Kentucky by Woods Edge Farm, the colt is the third foal out of the Bernardini mare Guiltless. A half-sister to graded winner Northern Causeway, Guiltless’ dam is a half-sister to both Horse of the Year Ghostzapper and Grade 1 winner and noted sire City Zip.

The sire of two Grade 1 winners last year, Temple City’s largest two crops are 2 and 3-year-olds of 2020. He has five stakes horses to date this year, led by Grade 2 winner Kimbear.
