Brody’s Cause colt brings six figures Wednesday at OBS

First-Crop sire Brody’s Cause was represented by a $170,000 colt during Wednesday’s session of the OBS 2-year-olds in Training sale, which runs June 9-12.
The final sale price was more than 22 times the stud fee.
Consigned by Mayberry Farm, agent, hip No. 549 went to Curragh Racing.
The chestnut juvenile is out of Sweet Love, whose siblings include graded stakes winners Adventist and Dijeerr, as well as black type winners and graded-placed duo of Isn’t He Clever and Sharp Writer.
Brody’s Cause, who has 67 reported 2-year-olds in his first crop of runners this year, stands for $7,500 live foal.
