More Mischief captures Aqueduct’s Biogio’s Rose S.
February 10, 2020
More Mischief became Into Mischief’s second stakes winner of the weekend when she took the Biogio’s Rose S. on Feb. 9, a day after Lucrezia won the Suncoast S. at Tampa Bay Downs.
Into Mischief is the lead sire of 2020 by stakes winners, with seven to date, led by 3-year-old colts Mischievous Alex and Authentic.
More Mischief, who was stakes-placed at two in 2018, was a dominant allowance winner on Jan. 12 in preparation for the Biogio Rose. Sitting just off the pace for most of the one-mile trip, she ran by the front-runners in mid-stretch to win by 2 ½-lengths.
“My instructions were to keep her in the clear. I made sure I broke good and let the horses on the outside clear me. She was nice and comfortable, just like last time,” said Manny Franco. “The speed helped us a little bit. The favorite was on the lead and was a little bit pressured, so I was able to stalk them. When I made my move, I had a lot under me and my filly responded really well.”
The winner was bred by Anlyn Farms and is owned by Wise Racing. She is 4-2-1 in nine starts and has earned $240,493.
