Race Day’s Consultora romps in 2020 stakes debut
January 13, 2020
Consultora turned in the most dominating score of her career on Jan. 12 with a 14 ½-length victory in the Grade 3 Eugenio Maria de Hostos S. at Camarero Racetrack in Puerto Rico.
The 3-year-old Race Day filly was won five straight races, three of them in graded stakes. She was the U. S. territory’s 2-year-old champion filly and one of her sire’s four stakes winners from his first crop.
Sunday’s contest was never in doubt after Consultora took the lead in the first quarter-mile, then widened her advantage the rest of the way while under a hand ride.
The winner is owned by Sonata Stable and was bred in her home country by Eduardo Maldonado.
