Wicked Strong filly gallops to comfortable maiden win
August 4, 2019
Symphony Hall cruised to a 5 ¼-length maiden win Saturday at Ellis Park, giving First-Crop winner Wicked Strong his fourth winner in a 5 ½-furlong main track affair for 2-year-old fillies.
Taking command soon after the break, Symphony Hall was up about two lengths at the half-way point, and widened her lead from there to win going away.
The winner is owned by Sandra New and Aaron Haberman and was bred in Kentucky by RGP Ocala Holdings LLC. She is one of eight winners out of Boston Symphony, whose siblings include graded stakes winners Tour of the Cat and Cat on Tour.
Wicked Strong is one of Spendthrift Farm’s First-Crop stallion in the Safe Bet Program, which assures breeders that a stallion’s first crop of two-year-olds will have at least one Graded/Group stakes winner in 2019, or the breeder will be completely relieved of the stud fee for his or her impending foal in 2020.
