Another strong OBS June session for Race Day
June 14, 2019
Race Day had another big day during Thursday’s session of the June 12-14 OBS 2-year-olds in Training Sale, topped by a $150,000 colt who had breezed a bullet quarter-mile during the Under Tack Show.
The colt, hip No. 706, was consigned by Hawks Nest LLC and was purchased by the partnership of R. A. Hill, S. Kennedey and Oracle Bloodstock, agent. The juvenile is out of Queen Brianna, a full sister to multiple graded stakes winner Rockport Harbor.
Race Day’s two-day sale average is an excellent $160,000. He has four lots in Friday’s closing session of the sale.
Race Day is participating in Spendthrift’s Safe Bet program, which assures breeders that a stallion’s first crop of two-year-olds will have at least one Graded/Group stakes winner in 2019, or the breeder will be completely relieved of the stud fee for his or her impending foal in 2020.
