New stakes winner for Into Mischief
May 30, 2015
Strict Compliance got her first stakes win of her career on Saturday evening with a half-length victory in the $150,000 Penn Oaks over the Penn National turf course.
The 3-year-old daughter of Into Mischief is the 11th stakes winner for her sire, who has three millionaires in his first four crops. The Spendthrift stallion stands this year for $35,000 live foal.
Strict Compliance, who had won two of her three lifetime starts coming into the one-mile Oaks, tracked in third under Javier Castellano for the first half of the contest. Castellano urged her closer on the turn, closing on the outside through the stretch to get up in final strides.
The time on the firm turf course was 1:34.83.
Strict Compliance is trained by Chad Brown for Klaravich Stables and William H. Lawrence. She is now 3-1-0 in her four starts. The winner was bred in Florida by Richard and Linda Thompson. She is out of the unraced Grand Slam mare Diva Dyna and is a half-sister to Coach Jimi Lee S. winner Tiree.
