More stellar Keeneland results for Malibu Moon
September 12, 2017
Malibu Moon’s yearlings continue to be some of the most sought after at the Keeneland September sale during Tuesday’s session, topped by a $625,000 colt purchased by Let’s Go Stable.
Wood Edge Farm consigned the colt, hip No. 430. The bay Kentucky-bred is out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Life Lesson, a daughter of My Charmer S. (G3) winner Wander Mom.
A few lots earlier, Malibu Moon’s hip No. 426, consigned by Elm Tree Farm LLC, was purchased for $425,000 by Woodford Racing and Team D. The filly’s stakes-placed dam Let’s Get Married is from the same family as Broken Vow.
Through the first two days of the sale, Malibu Moon’s yearling average stands at $392,000.
Malibu Moon has a total of 59 lots cataloged in the Keeneland sale, which runs through Sept. 23.
