10-length debut romp for Jimmy Creed filly
November 22, 2017
Jimmy Creed, a top-five First-Crop sire of winners this year, got his latest on Nov. 22 at Mahoning Valley racecourse when Thoughtless Doll crushed her competition by 10 1/4-lengths in a five-furlong maiden special weight contest for 2-year-old fillies.
The bay filly broke well and began to assert herself in the first furlong, and was never threatened at any point, finishing under wraps in :59.46 seconds.
The winner is trained by Jim Chapman, who is co-owner with Chris Meyer. Thoughtless Doll was bred in Kentucky by Equus Farm.
Jimmy Creed’s first crop of winners now numbers 17 and includes six stakes horses, topped by Sorrento S. (G2) winner Spectator and Grade 2-placed Wall of Compassion. He’ll be standing the 2018 season at Spendthrift Farm for $15,000 live foal.
