Conquest Enforcer starts new winning streak
September 11, 2016
Into Mischief’s multiple stakes-winning colt Conquest Enforcer returned to the winner’s circle Sunday at Belmont Park with a 1 3/4-length decision in the $100,000 Allied Force S.
The 3-year-old is one of Into Mischief’s eight stakes horses this year, a group topped by recent Hopeful S. (G1) winner Practical Joke.
After racing exclusively in Canada until Sunday, Conquest Enforcer handled the trip over the Belmont turf with professionalism, stalking the pacesetter patiently until being called on for his run by Javier Castellano, when he powered to the lead to win going away (VIDEO).
The time for the six furlongs on the firm turf was an excellent 1:07.76.
“He came to us not that long ago–the team in Canada does an amazing job,” said Randi Melton, assistant to winning trainer Mark Casse. “We just had to saddle him, he was ready. It set up perfect and Javier rode him perfect. Mark said he’s not crazy about the whip, Javier just showed it to him and that was all he needed, he just took off and came home beautifully.”
With additional stakes wins in the Cup and Saucer S., Queenston S., and Charlie Barley S., Conquest Enforcer is now 4-0-1 in six starts, with earnings of $333,248 for his owner Conquest Stables.
Out of Keen Victory, Conquest Enforcer is a half-brother to recent Nandi S. winner Conquest Vivi.
