Flat Out filly rolls to dominant maiden win
November 10, 2017
Greasedlightning streaked to a 3 3/4-length maiden win Nov. 10 at Laurel Park to become Flat Out’s 14th winner from his first crop. The Spendthrift stallion is fifth by winners on this year’s Freshman Sire list.
Flat Out has been one of the most popular stallions in North America over the past four years, breeding an average of 170 mares per year over that span.
Greasedlightning looked like a winner at every point of the one-mile contest, stalking comfortably in third before taking over outside of the quarter-pole and cruising to an easy win.
The winner was bred by Mark Toothaker and Dan White and is owned by Franklin G Smith, Sr. et al.
